Frequently Asked Questions

What is a webhook and why would I use it?
A webhook is an automatic notification sent from one app to another when something happens. With MyFBleads webhooks, when you capture a new lead, the lead data automatically sends to your other tools - your email system, your main CRM, a Google Sheet, or anywhere that accepts webhooks. No manual export needed.
How do I set up a webhook in MyFBleads?
Go to Settings then Integrations then Webhooks. Click Add Webhook and enter your destination URL (from Zapier, Make, your CRM, etc.). Choose which events trigger the webhook (new lead, lead updated, stage changed). Save and test. MyFBleads sends a test payload to verify the connection.
What data does MyFBleads send in webhooks?
Webhook payloads include: lead name, Facebook profile URL, tags, pipeline stage, notes, custom fields, timestamps (created, updated), and the event type that triggered the webhook. The payload is JSON formatted for easy parsing by receiving systems.
Can I connect MyFBleads to Zapier?
Yes. In Zapier, create a new Zap with Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger. Choose Catch Hook and copy the webhook URL. Paste that URL into MyFBleads webhook settings. Now every new lead in MyFBleads triggers your Zap, which can send data to thousands of apps.
Can I connect MyFBleads to Make (formerly Integromat)?
Yes. In Make, create a new scenario starting with Webhooks then Custom webhook. Copy the webhook URL and paste it into MyFBleads settings. Make receives lead data and can route it to any connected app. The process is similar to Zapier.
What events can trigger a webhook?
Available webhook triggers include: new lead created, lead updated (any field change), pipeline stage changed, tag added, tag removed, and lead deleted. You can enable multiple triggers per webhook or create separate webhooks for different events.
Can I send leads to Google Sheets via webhook?
Yes, through Zapier or Make. Create a webhook trigger in your automation tool, connect to Google Sheets, and map the lead fields to spreadsheet columns. Every new lead automatically adds a row to your sheet. This is a popular backup and reporting method.
What if my webhook fails?
MyFBleads logs webhook delivery attempts. If a webhook fails (destination unreachable, error response), it shows in your webhook logs. You can see the payload that was sent and retry manually. Check that your destination URL is correct and the receiving system is online.
Is the HighLevel integration a webhook?
The native HighLevel integration in MyFBleads uses the HighLevel API for contact creation, tag mapping, and lead syncing. Changes push from MyFBleads to HighLevel when leads are captured or updated. You can also set up webhooks for custom workflows. See the HighLevel integration guide for details.
Do I need technical skills to use webhooks?
Basic webhook setup is straightforward: copy a URL, paste it, enable triggers. Tools like Zapier and Make provide visual interfaces for the receiving end - no coding required. For custom integrations to your own systems, some technical knowledge helps but is not mandatory for standard use.
